Happy Martin Luther King Day: King, born Jan. 15, 1929, was one of the most visible figures in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. His message of non-violent resistance led to massive changes in American culture and paved the way for the end of segregation and the expansion of human rights.

Ski Trip:
Students who are going on the ski trip must have their final payment of $20 in to Mr. Tortola by TOMORROW Tuesday, Jan 22. Please see Mr. Tortola if you have any questions.

Grade 9 Trip
Please remember that the 2nd installment of $50.00 is due THIS Thursday, January 24 in the main office.

Friday Lunch Hours (can read Fridays only)
All students are to stay away from the band room and gym doors on Fridays due to lunch band.  You must wait until teacher supervision arrives to let you in the gym.

Snacks:  Snacks will now be provided Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s outside the Learning Centre and will no longer be delivered to the classroom.  Pop down to the Learning Centre at the beginning of break for your healthy snack!


Sports:
Girls Basketball - Game today at Herring Cove after school and practice today at lunch. Come down to the gym as soon as you’ve eaten your lunch. Thanks!

Boys Basketball - Game tomorrow at Gorsebrook, goodluck boys
