Week 1

“We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki (MEEG-MA-GEE), the traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq people”. We want to continue to honour our promise to them to live in peace and friendship.”

Earth Day is just around the corner and the Recycle My Cell Earth Month Challenge is a great way to keep old or unwanted cell phones out of landfills  Highland Park is going to participate in this program and all participating schools that recycle at least 20 phones will be awarded a cash prize with the top school in Nova Scotia awarded $500.  The challenge is organized by The Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association and it runs for the month of April.   Start looking for old cell phones now and bring them into school. Let’s help our planet!
